Dirty South MNL

BTS Season

We’ll start off the new term with a new blog post! After all those sleepless nights, Mighty Bond fingers, cutter wounds and lovely and encouraging words from our mentors, we are finally able to post once more! We decided to put together looks that were reminiscent of our High School Days; the nerd, the jock and the rebel.

When I was in High School, I was in the Basketball Varsity team hence the letterman jacket from Jack and Jones and my Nike SB

3 years ago, the only way for us to express our individuality was through our accessories - mine was always made of leather and silver. I’ve always had a thing for the uncanny and the grotesque so sometimes my views on art and everything in the world would differ from the rest, i guess in a way, you could say that was rebellious.

I decided to pull off a nerdy look because, apparently, I am the smartest one in the bunch (just kidding!). I don’t do smart dress ups but i decided to go ahead and give it a shot. Though it wasn’t as gloomy as i expected, i still wore my Zara trench coat to put that school boy look together without compromising my personal style.

Songs about Jane

Since today is such a gloomy Sunday and rain is pouring. We think that its just appropriate to steal some covers and share some skin (get it? *insert laughs here*).

We weren’t able to take a group shot because we were too preoccupied by the funny events that happened during this shoot.

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you like it!

The weather has been so nice lately (well, nice weather to me is the cold kind) that i was able to finally wear my pullover from Forever 21, tucked into my orange bandage skirt to give the ensemble a pop of colour. Perfect way to brighten up the day!

There’s no such thing as too much denim! I just love how denim jackets are so versatile. You can wear it with any outfit and people hardly notice. I’m not sure if I was too lazy to fix my hair or just wanted to show my new hat off. Paired it with simple suede ankle boots and aviators to complete the look.

Have you ever felt like, in a way, you wanted to serve in the army? That was how I felt wearing this outfit. Originally, I was going to go all-out on this one but I couldn’t find the right jacket so I just decided to wear something that could pull it off the same way. What do you guys think?

Rocks and Dust

For this shoot, we decided to go to a place called Burgundy, a condominium near our school. It was pretty dusty because there was a lot of construction going on in the area but still, we managed to pull it off!

This ensemble i wore out to lunch with one of my closest friends. I went for a, sort of, Upper East Side look with a tailored jacket paired off with a dainty top i bought from Local Celebrity Manila and scarf then just your regular jeans and below the knee boots. It was perfect for the day because it got a little chilly towards the night and i had a little speech to recite for a class.

My version of lazy day dress up is a shirt, shorts and a cardigan. Thank god for sandals for those days when you don’t even want to be bothered about foot socks. This pair of shorts i’m wearing are not as flattering as all your other usual chino shorts but what it lacks in form, it makes up for in comfort!

I’m not such a fan of dressing up in pastel colors but i decided to give it a shot. Combined a tank top from Local Celebrity Manila and a plain blue polo to give it a little contrast with the gray print of my socks and top.
